The Carmel Plush or Firm is a 650 coiled unit is foam encased with soft (or firm) foam. Each coil provides support and resistance when pressure is applied. Foams in mattresses come in varying firmness and densities.

• Foam – A cellular material made from polyurethane or latex and used in a wide variety of home furnishings. Foam can be soft, firm or completely rigid.
• Firm – A term that describes the resistance a mattress applies to the body weight and “give” of the mattress surface. Firm mattresses are generally lower height than plush or pillow top mattresses.
• Plush – somewhere between firm and pillow top. Plush offers less “give” but has more layers of padding on top than a firm mattress.
